VARAPULINKARY RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
1.Pumpkin (sambar like cubed) 4 – 5 cups
2.Salt to taste
3.Turmeric powder 1 pinch
4.Tamarind(soaked) gooseberry sized
MASALA
5.Blackgram dal 1 tbsp
6.Channa dal 1 tbsp
7.Grated coconut ½ - ¾ cup
8.Chilli powder 1 tsp
9.Coriander powder 1tsp
SEASONING
10.Coconut oil 2 tbsp
11.Mustard seeds ½ tsp
12.Blackgram dal 2 tsp
13.Red chilli 3 – 4
14.Curry leaves 1 – 2 twigs
PREPARATION
1.Boil the pumpkin with salt, turmeric powder and water till well done.
2.Dry roast the black gram and channa dals till red, add the coconut fry,
remove adding the chilli and the coriander powders stirring well. Grind
nicely, set aside.
3.Add to the pumpkin mix, boil adding water to adjust the consistency.
4.Season with the ingredients add, set aside.
