While the manufacturer of this elevator is not explicitly stated, it uses the same traction drive system with two counterweights as the elevator at Port Terminal Portliner station ( • Fujitec traction glass elevator at Port Te... ), and it even has a very similar cab design. Also, the in-cab button panels are virtually identical. For that reason, I think it is reasonable to assume that both elevators were built by the same company, namely Fujitec.
Maya station is located on the JR Kobe line between Kobe Sannomiya station and Osaka station. It is served exclusively by local trains that stop at all stations. Although four railway tracks pass through the station, there is only a single island platform situated between the inner two tracks. Meanwhile, non-local trains pass the station on the outer tracks, which are also used by freight trains. The station entrance with ticket gates is located above the platform and directly adjacent to an overpass with an elevator at either end. Therefore, there are three elevators in total at Maya station, including this one connecting the entrance to the platform.
