I will be upgrading my camera gear in the next couple of weeks and I am preparing to be able to edit 4k 60 FPS 10-bit footage(Panasonic GH5). That will require serious CPU power to process and render the videos. The 1950X has served me well and will continue to live in another build(hint new video coming). The new Threadripper CPUs are the perfect no compromise, uncontested HEDT choice. I am looking to upgrade to a system with serious processing power and also game occasionally. This is the assembly video where piece together the build.
