I recorded a version of this song on my own 3 years ago. It was the first thing I uploaded to this channel, albeit reluctantly, as I was so nervous that my dodgy production skills would be ripped to shreds by strangers. I ultimately decided that it might better than nothing and that my skin should be thick enough to withstand the criticism.

Well, I am so glad I did!

I received so much love and support from so many kind humans. A gazillion times more than I could have ever hoped for. I became so inspired and it really helped me dig deep and make my own music once and for all.

SO! 3 years later, my first album is juuuuust about to be launched (November 2024). I thought this might be a good time to fulfil a request that I saw very often on the comments of my 'bedroom' version of this song; to make Lilac Wine available to download or add to a streaming playlist. I decided it would make sense for me to re-record a new version in a studio, WITH a proper engineer and WITHOUT sirens in the background or bum notes from my shoddy bass playing hehe.
