Welcome to this special longplay of Crash Bandicoot: Warped. This is the very popular action platformer game from 1998. This is a little special however, because this is the Japanese version of the game. I hope you enjoy.

This is the point where I like to talk a little about why I like this game. As per usual if you have a story about why you like this game please leave it in the comments below. I would love to read about it. This was another one of those game that I was absolutely obsessed with when I was younger. I don't know why my aunt and uncle didn't have the first two games but they had the third, and i loved it. This is a game my cousins and I played so much. Knowing the wear and tear that PS1 games can take I'm surprised this thing ran at all. We played it a LOT. When we went playing it, we were outside playing and pretending we were the characters. The music in this game is so iconic and its so enjoyable to listen to. Spyro gets a lot of credit for its amazing soundtrack but this game and the others in the series are some of the best music in the PS1 library. The Japanese version has some really neat differenced that I found rather interesting. Typically, the Japanese like to have their games harder than ours, but it seemed like every third level or so there was some helpful hints from the mask. And come to think of it, I don't remember the mask providing hints in the NTSC version. Also the TNT crates don't have TNT on them in the Japanese version they have bombs on them which I think is weird only because, there are bombs in the jet ski levels so why could they not put bombs on the NTSC version. Aesthetically i think it fits better to have TNT on the crates because even in the Japanese version the nitro crates have something written on them and the TNT ones just have a bomb. But overall this game fills me with tons of nostalgia. And it was so much fin replaying it. If you are a newcomer to the series, this game is a 100% recommendation because of how much fun it is to play. I did not mention it earlier but there is really tight controls and its a lot of fun to play. If you have the means and have never enjoyed this game, give it a shot. you might just love it.
