I am happy I finally posted this video. Hualien never failed me. Every time I come back, it’s always stunning. One place you shall never skip in Hualian is Taroko National Park (Tai Ru Ge, in Chinese). I shot this video naturally, so I am sorry for my poor Chinese and my bilingual accent.

This video was recorded 3 years ago, OMG long enough, I know right. I feel, it’s funny how I see myself speaking broken Chinese like that 3 years ago. This is actually how I speak in my daily life with people around me. People got used already that I speak mixing both English and Chinese. Haha. I am currently working on improving my Chinese, jiayou. Hope one day, maybe I will not need to speak mixed language 😅

Anyway, recently after the big earthquake in Hualien, some parts in Taroko National Park is closed, including Changchun Shrine. If you would like to go there, you might want to check first whether they are open already. Hualien is very magical place and indescribable by words. I hope some parts that are affected by earthquake will be back to operate soon.

Hualien is located in the eastern part of Taiwan and it is accessible by both train and bus from Taipei. From Hualian station, you might need around 40 mins - 1 hour to arrive in Taroko National Park. This park is a mountais-range basically and you will have many spots to enjoy.

Small tips would be, you might need to rent scooter or car to explore Taroko National park. One day would not be enough to explore Taroko itself. But of course, if you would like to visit some key places, then even half day would still be OK.
