Paul Lay's last recording "Blue in Green: Tribute to Bill Evans" (Scala Music, 2022), in trio with Clemens Van der Feen on bass and Dré Pallemaerts on the drums, was nominated for Les Victoires du Jazz 2023 in the best album category. Entirely devoted to Bill Evans, who transformed jazz trio music, this recording revisits some of his most beautiful compositions (Blue in Green, Very Early, The two lonely people), as well as great jazz standards of which Bill Evans was the reference interpreter: Alice in Wonderland, or You must Believe in Spring.
