Elected "instrumental artist" at the Victoires du Jazz in 2020, Paul Lay has won awards at the most prestigious competitions: Soloist Award at the Concours de la Défense, Moscow Piano-Jazz Competition, Martial Solal Competition, Charles Cros Academy Award and Django Reinhardt Award. He performs on the most important international stages. His discography includes "Deep Rivers" (Laborie Jazz - 2020), in trio with Isabel Sörling and Simon Tailleu, which received an enthusiastic reception from the critics (Choc de Jazz Magazine, Le Monde, France Inter...). "Full Solo" (Gazebo - 2021) is his first solo recording, a tribute to Beethoven, rewarded by a ffff from Télérama.
In September 2022, Paul Lay is appointed professor of jazz piano at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
