Todays walk explores the beautiful countryside west of Bury St Edmunds. Starting off in the village of Denham, this route visits the parish church which has a historic Norman arch doorway before heading to the earthwork remains of Denham Castle, a Norman Motte and Bailey dating to the mid 12th Century. From there the route follows field edges to Denham Hall, a moated manor house situated just behind the church.
