In this video I returned to Jogashima island, the closest dark-sky (Bortle 4) site to my home. It's the first time I used the Seestar S30 in EQ mode at a dark site. My imaging targets were a variety of deep sky objects low over the ocean; many around and within the Milky Way core. At this time in early May, the Milky Way rises late in the night offering the darkest possible views from this location. I used my new Canon RF16mm (F2.8) STM lens for the first time in Milky Way photography; and the results were stunning. That night on the beach had a few surprise encounters as well.
