Rally van Staden 2025 - SS5: Hooglede 2 - all cars (raw footage)

The middle stage of the 2nd loop of the 14th Rally van Staden, a second pass on SS Hooglede.

The rally consists of 4 loops of 3 stages.

SS Hooglede was 9.85 km long and its only the second time this stage is driven, after the first time in 2022.

This is a more than square corner, going from slippy asphalt to grippy concrete so not an easy corner apparently. In the first round there appeared to have been multiple mistakes here, in this video there are 2 spins from competitors that tried to handbrake the corner.

The stage was won by Bjorn Syx (3, Toyota GR Yaris Rally2) who completed in 4:43.5 (avg 125.1 km/h).

He takes the 2nd place from Dewilde, who also made a small mistake on this stage.
Syx now leads with 17.2 seconds over Verschueren, who is discovering a new car (usually driving a Citroën C3 Rally2 the past seasons), now 3.3 seconds before Dewilde on +20.8.

Cornelis leads in Historic after this stage, 57 seconds before Vitse; Morgan is currently 3rd on +1:05.2.
