Making Hot Process Soap with Pumpkin & Yogurt 🎃 Rich Lather Recipe

In this video, I’m making hot process pumpkin yogurt soap — a creamy, homemade soap that combines the rich color of pumpkin soap with the nourishing feel of yogurt soap. I love hot process soap because it’s rustic, natural, and ready faster than cold process.

I had a quarter of pumpkin left in the fridge, so I decided to turn it into natural pumpkin soap. This hot process pumpkin soap recipe also includes yogurt for extra creaminess. Pumpkin puree in hot process soap gives a warm, natural color, while yogurt makes the homemade soap smooth and moisturizing.

I steamed the pumpkin, peeled it, and blended it into a silky puree. During the cook, my hot process soap suddenly volcanoed — a funny moment you’ll see in the video! After the cook, I stirred in pumpkin puree, yogurt, and other natural additives to complete this hot process pumpkin yogurt soap.

Always handle caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) with extreme care. Wear protective gear, including gloves, goggles, and long-sleeved clothing. Work in a well-ventilated area and follow all safety guidelines.
