After installing an adjustable two-way truss rod and reattaching the fretboard in previous videos, it was time to put in the new frets. The fret slots were quite wide, either as originally designed, or because they had gotten soft and mushy over the decades, so I ended up having to glue the frets in place with CA glue. I wax the fretboard first, so that any squeezed out CA glue can be easily removed. Without that step, the glue soaks into the wood and is much more difficult to remove. After dressing the frets I airbrushed some yellow lacquer along the new binding to give it a more aged appearance, consistent with the rest of the guitar.
