Storage Car Train Versus Steep Grade! Super Elevated Curve On Norfolk Southern & CSX Fast Train!

Short Line Railroad Action! Listen To These Locomotives In Notch 8 Fighting Gravity! Long Train Of Storage Rail Cars & Loads Of Rock. Includes Super Elevated Curve With Fast Norfolk Southern Trains. Also CSX Train Coming Around Tight Curve At Railroad Crossing In Kentucky.
Starting with a chase of a storage car train and rock train combination, this is short line railroading at its best. The freight cars had been in long term storage on the east end of the line. That is also the area where the rock came from. Cincinnati Eastern Railroad, CCET, leases 69 route miles of the Peavine from Norfolk Southern Railroad. I got this train on its westbound run. The first location is Bodman Road in Mount Orab, Ohio. The train ran eastbound empty the day before.
Next, I went to Williamsburg to catch the heavy train on the curvy hill at Gay Street. This is the Leaning Towers section of Williamsburg at Mile Post 33. The pole line here has been out of service for years. Listen to the locomotive as they pull the train over the hill. They are really working hard and there is a lot of smoke and awesome EMD action from the GP15-1 and the SD40-2. The rock in the gondola cars is en route to the unloading spot along Round Bottom Road in Milford at the Bzak location.
I was planning on ending the video here but it would have been too short and I have a lot of unused video. The rest of the trains in the video are CSX and Norfolk Southern trains in Walton, Kentucky. I filmed these exactly a month earlier. This location has a super elevated curve on the NS mainline and a railroad crossing with both NS and CSX tracks. After the trains we have the Live Action Pets and the slide show that comes from the video.
