You begin it by talking to the “Wayfarer” in Kaifeng, then selecting it under the “Side Story” tab in the Exploration menu.

Quest progression:

1. Eavesdrop to learn about the legendary sword — go to Goldwater Street and overhear two men talking about the “Canglang Sword.”
2. Sneak into a residence — slip through a crevice in a wall to enter an estate (the home of an NPC, named Zhao Pu). Inside, you meet a child NPC, Zhao Chengzong, who becomes your ally.
3. Investigate and follow clues — you inspect footprints, bloodstains, and other clues as you follow Chengzong.
4. Stealth rooftop chase — you must follow Chengzong from the rooftops to avoid guards; getting spotted resets this part.
5. Infiltrate the main hall — grab a key from a side building, sneak in when guards are distracted, inspect bloodstains, and search the area.
6. Locate secret chamber through hidden mechanisms — find a throwing star on a cabinet (using “Wind Sense”), use it to unlock a hidden passage, and descend into a secret underground area.
7. Solve complex mechanical puzzles — deep in the chamber you must solve a “Contraption Tower” puzzle, using three hairpins as keys. Each hairpin must be rotated/flipped/transformed to fit different lock types (double-bladed, 4-bladed, etc.).
8. Retrieve important loot & revelations — in the final chamber, you get a Sword Manual and discover night-attire that unlocks the Inner Ways skill Riptide Reflex.
9. Escape & conclude — find the exit via another mechanism, climb out with a ladder, and trigger a cutscene with guards and another NPC, Wei Zhixi, to wrap up the quest.

Sword Manual + Medicinal Tales (items / lore-type rewards)
Materials — Lv. 3 Ebon Iron ×5, Oscillating Jade ×2, Echo Jade ×45
Progression / Exploration: +60 Kaifeng Exploration, +100 Enlightenment Points
Character gains: ~16,200 EXP + 16,200 Coins
