At Mount Sinai South Nassau, we're finding a way to improve health care on the South Shore. We just opened 20 new, private, state-of-the-art critical care suites—each equipped with cutting-edge technology, including in-room respiratory and dialysis equipment and the latest, electronically controlled patient beds to help with mobility and bedside care. The hard-walled, private ICU rooms also include ventilation systems designed to reduce the risk of infection. And nurse workstations are positioned just outside each room to enhance bedside care. The new ICU is just another step Mount Sinai South Nassau is taking to improve health care on the South Shore—right here in Oceanside.
