Pieśń „Amor Sub Rosa” to współczesna rekonstrukcja muzyki renesansowej, opowiadająca o tajemnej miłości króla Zygmunta Augusta i Barbary Radziwiłłówny. „Amor sub rosa” – „miłość pod różą” – symbolizowała w tamtych czasach uczucia skrywane przed światem.

Ten projekt powstał dzięki twórczemu wykorzystaniu nowoczesnych technologii, które umożliwiają odtworzenie dawnego ducha epok historycznych w nowoczesnej formie. W czasach analogowych realizacja podobnego przedsięwzięcia wymagałaby pracy całego zespołu: kompozytora, instrumentalistów, wokalistów, lingwisty oraz aranżera.
Dzięki współczesnym narzędziom, mogłam samodzielnie przeprowadzić cały proces — od koncepcji aż po wykonanie — łącząc swoją wrażliwość muzyczną, wiedzę historyczną i nowoczesne rozwiązania technologiczne.

Projekt Modern Renaissance Music to połączenie człowieka i technologii w służbie sztuce: narzędzia takie jak modele językowe i zaawansowane systemy dźwiękowe stają się przedłużeniem mojej twórczej intencji, a nie jej zastępstwem.

AMOR SUB ROSA – Song Description (for Polish scroll up)

The song “Amor Sub Rosa” is a modern reconstruction of Renaissance music, telling the story of the secret love between King Sigismund II Augustus of Poland and Barbara Radziwiłł.
In those times, “amor sub rosa” — “love under the rose” — symbolized feelings that had to be hidden from the world.

This project was born thanks to the creative use of modern technology, allowing us to revive the spirit of historical eras in a contemporary form.
In the analog era, realizing such a project would have required the work of an entire team: a composer, instrumentalists, vocalists, a linguist, and an arranger.

Thanks to today's tools, I was able to complete the entire process by myself — from the concept to the performance — combining my musical sensitivity, historical knowledge, and the possibilities offered by modern technology.

Historical Context:
Sigismund II Augustus was the last king of the Jagiellonian dynasty, ruling the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania during the so-called Golden Age of Polish history (16th century).
Kraków, the cultural and political heart of the kingdom at the time, witnessed the dramatic love story between the king and Barbara Radziwiłł — a noblewoman from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
Their relationship was considered scandalous by the royal court and was initially kept secret, giving birth to legends that still move hearts today.

Modern Renaissance Music is a project that connects human creativity with technology in service of art: tools such as language models and advanced sound systems become extensions of the creator’s artistic intention, not replacements for it.
