From vulnerable baby to confident toddler—Jameela’s journey will touch your heart. 🦍💕 In this video, we celebrate Jameela turning two years old and take a quiet, meaningful look at how far she’s come.

Born on January 5, 2024, at the Fort Worth Zoo, Jameela’s early days were uncertain. When her birth mother was unable to care for her, Jameela was transferred to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on March 27, 2024, where she was welcomed into a loving gorilla troop. Under the gentle care of her adoptive mom, Freddy, and alongside her siblings Kayembe and Kunda, Jameela quickly found her place.

Now two years old, Jameela is thriving. This video shows her confidently playing on her own—curious, content, and secure. While she enjoys spending time with her gorilla family, these moments of solo play are a beautiful sign of her growth, independence, and emotional well-being.
