Making a 1950's Dress - Summer Sewing 2019

Welcome back to my sewing room where today I'm making a 1950's inspired dress from a lovely stretch cotton sateen from fabric.com! With a kimono sleeve bodice and curved neckline, the real star of this dress is still the full circle skirt of course.

The next project will be a 1940's inspired summer suit in cotton twill, so hopefully those of you who have asked how I make my little safari suits will be pleased to hear that!


And as always, yes I sew over pins, yes I am kinda sloppy with lazy zippers--I'll sew my way, you can sew your way, and we will all make cute stuff mmkay? Mmkay :)
