This roundtable brings together leading patient group partners representing diverse tumour types to explore key opportunities for system-level improvements in early age onset cancer (EAOC) care. Drawing on the collective experience of cancer advocacy organizations and insights from those working closely with young adults, the discussion highlights persistent gaps in care and proposes collaborative strategies to address them.
A central focus of this session is the need for dedicated EAOC programs across Canada — multidisciplinary models that can strengthen care navigation, psychosocial support, and survivorship for younger patients.
The roundtable explores:
• Key insights from CCRAN’s 2025 national EAOC survey and the critical unmet needs across patient populations
• The case for multidisciplinary, age-appropriate AYA/EAOC clinics as a scalable model to address care gaps
• Opportunities for national collaboration among patient groups to strengthen messaging, advocacy, and impact
This session was recorded during CCRAN’s virtual Early Age Onset Cancer Symposium (Nov 20–21, 2025). To learn more about CCRAN and our work to support, educate, and advocate for patients and caregivers across Canada, visit ccran.org.
