Onion. 1 large
Cashews 12-14
Curd/Dahi 1 cup
Haldi. 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder. 2 tsp
Dhaniya powder. 2 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli 2 tsp
Zeera roasted and crushed 1 tsp
Garam masala powder. 1 tsp
Salt. 1tsp or to taste
Oil. 3/4 cup
Chicken 1/2 kg
Elaichi 4-5
Cloves( loung) 4-5
Black pepper corns 1/2 tsp
Darchini. 1inch stick
Bay leaves 2 pcs
Ginger garlic paste. 1tbsp
Fried onion crushed 1/2 cup
Javatri powder 1/2 tsp
Kewra water. 1 tsp optional
Water as required
Method
In a jaar add onion cashews and water and make a paste. In a bowl add Dahi onion paste dry spices and whisk it. In a hot oil add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute then add chicken and saute until colour changed then add whole spices and cook on a hight flame for 2 minutes. Then add Dahi mixture and cook on high flame for 2-3 minutes Then cover the lid and cook on low flame until chicken tender. Add fried onion and javitri powder and mix well .add water to adjust consistency and cook for 4-5 minutes. Serve hot.
