🛒 Ingredients
2 tbsp desi ghee
1 green chilli, slit
2 onions, diced
1 tbsp chopped ginger
Salt, to taste
1 tbsp homemade chickpea masala
¼ tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
¼ tsp garam masala
¼ cup water (to prevent masala from burning)
1 medium sweet potato, peeled & cubed
2 medium tomatoes, pureed fresh
½ cup water (for simmering)
1½ cups boiled chickpeas
Water, as needed to adjust consistency

🍲 Method
1. Heat ghee: In a pan, heat 2 tbsp desi ghee on medium flame.
2. Add aromatics: Add the slit green chilli and diced onions. Sauté until onions turn translucent.
3. Add ginger: Stir in chopped ginger, mix well, and cook for 2–3 minutes.
4. Add spices: Sprinkle salt, chickpea masala, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and garam masala.
5. Prevent burning: Add ¼ cup water and cook the masala gently for 4–5 minutes until it releases oil and aroma.
6. Add sweet potatoes: Mix in the cubed sweet potatoes and coat them well in the masala.
7. Tomato base: Pour in the fresh tomato puree and ½ cup water. Let it simmer for 7–8 minutes, until the sweet potatoes begin to soften.
8. Add chickpeas: Add the boiled chickpeas, stir well, and add more water as needed for your preferred curry consistency.
9. Final simmer: Cover and cook for 10–15 minutes on low flame until everything blends beautifully.
Serve warm with steamed rice, roti, or naan — pure, cozy goodness! 🌸
