Distribution of Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families affected by Severe Tropical Storm 'Kristine' in Laurel, Batangas

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads another distribution of Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families affected by Severe Tropical Storm (STS) 'Kristine' in the Municipality of Laurel in Batangas on November 4, 2024.

To aid recovery in affected communities, the Office of the President (OP) distributes financial assistance worth PhP10,000 each to 10 select farmers and fishermen from the Municipality of Laurel, as well as a check amounting to PhP10 million for the said area.

In addition to the assistance provided by the national government, President Marcos Jr. leads the turnover of 200 kits containing housing materials donated by the Metrobank Foundation.

Before the main program, the Chief Executive inspects the Bayuyungan Bridge — a critical structure connecting various barangays to the town — affected by a landslide during STS 'Kristine.' The inspection aims to assess the damage and discuss the plan for a sturdy reconstruction that can withstand powerful storms.
