Here in part two of this four part series we will be making the nickel anodes and the plating solution. Once you have got your plating setup going you will be amazed at how simple it is and how many things you will find around the shop that lends itself to be plated.

Obviously you will be using the plating process instead of spray painting all of your fabricated parts. It is much easier to prepare a piece for plating than it is for painting. Plating a piece takes a short amount of time compared to painting, and there is no time wasted waiting for paint to dry. Also there is no overspray to clean up when the process is over.
