Mother in the Middle

Being caught between family members in a disagreement is a common scenario, especially for mothers, who often end up mediating conflicts. This can stem from long-standing patterns or new dynamics, and while Moms are often seen as the glue holding things together on the family farm, this can be detrimental to allowing each person to have a voice and to express their needs. In farm succession, having the opportunity to address conflicts directly with other family members is a powerful process.
