Fixing a Costly Mistake for the Blue Angels – Full Aircraft Restoration!

Join the Sparrowhawk team as we tackle one of our most challenging projects yet—restoring a Blue Angel aircraft to its former glory!

In this video, you’ll get an inside look at our full restoration process, from the first wash to the final ceramic coating.

We started by washing down years of buildup using Skyglide rinse-less wash, then confronted the real challenge: removing a failed coating that just wouldn’t budge. After multiple attempts with strippers and acids, we discovered the only solution was to physically sand down the surface—working our way through grits from 320 all the way up to a smooth 1500.
Next, we brought out our ‪@RUPES‬ Rotary and Mille polishers to erase sanding marks and restore a flawless shine. With the paintwork perfected, we meticulously prepped every crevice before applying ⁨ ‪@SkyGlideAviationDetailing‬ Charlie ceramic coating for lasting protection and unbeatable gloss.

This project took 3 detailers, 5 days, and over 120 man-hours to complete. The results speak for themselves!
