Rotator Cuff Strengthening with a TRX

Tune in to learn how to strengthen the rotator cuff muscles with a simple exercise using the TRX. The exercises in this video emphasize a motion called external rotation, which is a function of 3 of the 4 rotator cuff muscles that are not targeted as well by traditional exercises such as pushes and pulls. Also, conventional rotator cuff training in many PT clinics often utilizes light band work that does not load the rotator cuff into external rotation to the degree that these exercises will (see disclaimer below).
The TRX has had a place in my training regimen for over a decade, and the exercises shown in this video have been a mainstay. Having strained my own rotator cuff and also dealt with bicepital tendonitis more than once, rotator cuff strengthening has been essential to helping me keep my shoulders strong and injury free. I am happy to say my shoulders now feel great and I have not had any issues (knock on wood) in years since incorporating rotator cuff strengthening.
