BOUNDARIES BETWEEN FRIENDS | toxic people, peer pressure, feeling lonely

I had a long conversation with a wise man (on his way to find baby Jesus lol) last night. He said something to me that struck me and annoyed me at the same time. I confided in him that I have been having a hard time with life lately because I feel like everything I'm doing is "new". Learning to design websites, merch shipping issues, fix camera issues, hiring an assistant, building a home, picking what type of water heater we want... i mean what the heck. There are more than one?!?! I digress... I was asking how I can handle all this stress with grace and not go to my immediate reaction which is being overwhelmed and shutting down or freaking out. He said "chad you need to relax." He continued by saying at times when i felt like I need to dig in and work harder and grit my teeth and push through, I need to relax. It's so counter intuitive. Society tells me one thing, but Jesus teaches me a different thing. I mean think about it, like in this video if you are feeling unfulfilled in friendships the goal isn't find new friendships, the goal is to go deeper in friendships. It's counter-intuitive. Take Jesus for example, we all wanted a savior or wore the finest attire, a crown of gold and gems, on a massive glowing horse. Instead we got an okay looking carpenter who was dawned with a crown of thorns and road a donkey. It's counter-intuitive and I think we need to embrace this way of thinking and not lean so much on our own understanding and power. For God's grace is sufficient for us for when we are weak, he is strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (fun fact that was the verse I was saved to)
