DAY 7 OF STEROID & ANTI-INFLAMMATORY TAPER - Arachnoiditis & Spinal CSF Leak post IV treatment

Day 7 of my steroid and anti-inflammatory taper post 5 day IV Methylprednisolone treatment for acute adhesive arachnoiditis flare. (10mg prednisolone, 75mg diclofenac & 4.5ml LDN. I always also take 20mg Omeprazole to protect my stomach from steroids & anti-inflammatories.). I continue to do very well in my recovery including getting back to my lots of daily walking regime.

In this video I discuss my sleep issues and insomnia 2:30 which is a normal symptom of my arachnoiditis flares, as well as a probable symptom of the steroid treatment. We treat it with Zopiclone 7.5mg 4:00. But this is only ever used short term and my sleep does improve again 5:35. Insomnia is very dangerous to mental health 6:25.

Steroid Taper: This was planned with my neurologist and he explained that he would generally only recommend daily steroids for 4-5 weeks max. before going down to every other day to protect the adrenal gland. But he said that's mainly an aim and tapering is never an exact science so I can be flexible between those parameters. So as I have been using them daily for just over 2 weeks I have about another 10 days to safely taper.
