New RopeCAM v24.2 introduces an oscillating chip breaker function to ensure that you don't get long stringy chips that can clog up the machine, requiring operator intervention to clear. It also prevents downtime and allows for lights out machining.
This new feature creates two separate passes for each cutting position. The first pass enters and exits the material, causing the chip to break each time. The second is a straight pass that cleans up the remaining material and causes the chip to break when it hits the valleys left by the first pass.
