WHAT I DID:
Used the studio recording’s multitracks as well as live stems that I personally isolated. I mixed them to get a familiar sound to the HIStory Tour, with some Dangerous Tour elements too, but with my own style applied with additional live vocals as well as just the mixing in general. This is NOT meant to be a studio recreation of the HIStory Tour.

The breakdown is not very unique in any of these 5 mixes because I honestly prefer the raw drums playing and not no bass or back vocalist hyping MJ up (as much as I love that). This is just the drums and Michael, I think that works the best.

And if you’re a tribute artist and you can move to just the drums and don’t have to follow along to a baseline or loads of ‘chi-pa-chi’ sounds, I’d argue you have pretty good control over the breakdown.
