In this video, I look back at my previous 42-day fast and share five mistakes I made — mistakes I’ve now corrected during this current fast.
These weren’t dramatic failures. They were small, seemingly harmless choices that added up over time and likely worked against the very goals I was fasting for.
Here are the five things I got wrong last time — and what I’m doing differently now:
• Not taking electrolytes
• Taking nutritional yeast daily
• Grazing on small “almost nothing” foods (lozenges, cherry tomatoes, etc.)
• Doing no exercise at all
• Taking no supplements
In this video, I explain why each of these mattered, how they affected my fast, and how I’ve corrected them this time — based on experience, reflection, and a better understanding of what fasting is actually doing in the body.
