Around noon on Saturday, March 11, 2017, it stopped raining a bit and I heard on the scanner that a vehicle train was up by Edmonds, coming south. We went down to the waterfront and got there just in time to see BNSF 4652 pulling the vehicle train at the North Portal.
Another vehicle train, BNSF 6001 with an NS locomotive in second position, followed right away.
I'd heard on the radio that BNSF 3788 was coming up from the south near Boeing so I was expecting that, but I was surprised to see BNSF 6980 come along westbound on main 2 and stop at the North Portal signal.
BNSF 3788 arrived with BNSF 1459 and BNSF 1469, which was a very nice surprise.
All of this took place in about an hour and I could see on ATCS Monitor that the Scenic Subdivision was still busy on Steven's Pass, but it started to rain again.
