Feeling Disconnected? A Powerful Message on Belonging + “One Heart” by Heatherlyn

In this mini musical keynote, I explore the Aspen grove metaphor: thousands of trees that appear separate on the surface but are actually part of one vast connected root system. It’s a powerful reminder that human beings, too, are deeply interconnected, even when we feel divided or alone.
Drawing inspiration from Chief Seattle and Mother Teresa, I talk about how we can reconnect with our shared humanity, reduce the sense of separation, and participate in collective healing rather than perpetuating collective harm. This keynote leads into my original song "One Heart," a piece dedicated to remembering our interconnectedness and cultivating compassion.
