I Didn't Expect This in the Amazon's Nightmare City

Welcome to Belém, Brazil. The first European colony built on the Amazon river.

Now I'm not gonna lie, Belém Brazil may be one of the worst places we've ever been ahah this place is truly a mess. The once beautiful colonial heart of the city is now an open air drug market...

Despite all the negatives we still met some absolutely lovely Brazilian people here in Belém.

Our morning was spent drinking cold beers with a newly met friend in South America's oldest market. The rest of the day was then spent eating delicious Brazilian Amazonian specialties like freshly made Açai and fried river prawns.

We bloody love and hate Belém, probably hating it more than loving it...
