We thought travelling the ENTIRE Amazon River would be a great idea… it wasn’t.
12 days. 4,000 miles. Brutal from start to finish.
The final leg of our journey took us on a 5 day cargo boat through the Brazilian Amazon.
We slept in hammocks in the South American heat, ate some truly terrible food and endured non stop crying babies all while watching the seemingly never ending Amazon river drift by.
We finally completed it people. Our journey down the entire Amazon river took us nearly a month and after spending over 300 hours of our lives on boats I can safely say we've had enough ahah.
Would we do the journey again? Nah, no chance.
Are we glad we did it? Bloody yeah of course.
Our journey down the Amazon river is without a doubt one we won't forget.
