The ground was ours, the fields were cleared of every traitor’s breath,
We stood atop the mounds of bone and laughed in the face of death.
Minka and her Whiteshields stood, their blades all notched and red,
The Creed’s great army triumphed o'er the legions of the dead.
But as we raised our victory cry toward the burning stars,
The sky turned blacker than the void, deeper than our scars.
The fleet above had faltered, the silver shields were pierced,
And Abaddon’s dark malice was at last and final loosed.

The Will of Iron remains untouched, though the crust began to tear,
A mountain made of ancient hate came screaming through the air.
The Black Stone fell, the world dissolved in a tectonic, dying roar,
But Cadia stands! Cadia stands! Forever, evermore!

I saw the pylons shatter, I saw the continents divide,
As billions met the Emperor’s light in a single, golden tide.
Some reached the ships, the lucky few, amidst the fire and stone,
While others stayed to fire one last round into the Great Unknown.
The Despoiler thought his path was clear, to march upon the Throne,
But Cadia's ghost is haunting him, in every wind that's blown.
His crusade ground to a sudden halt, broken on our bone,
For even in its dying breath, the Gate was never thrown!

The Eye is wide, the rift is long, the galaxy is split,
But every shard of Cadian rock has a holy fire lit!
Let the Warmaster tremble in his ship of stolen pride,
He could not break the spirit of the soldiers who have died!
