Hello my dear ones! Today it’s my favorite breakfast waffle, it took me some time to get it just right. These I’ve been told are my “Signature” delicious waffles among our family and friends. Jeepers, can’t remember my Vanilla vs. Maple Extract bottles today. English is my Second Language. Chuckles! Enjoy!
VEGAN GRAIN MAPLE WAFFLES
DRY INGREDIENTS:
2 Cup Quaker Oats (1 Min)
2 TB Sesame Seeds or Tahini
2 TB Whole Grain Flour/or any type
¾ tsp Sea Salt
WET INGREDIENTS:
2 Cups Grain Milk (2 ½ if you’ll let it set up longer)
2 tsp Coconut Oil or a liquid
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 tsp Maple Extract
2 TB Honey
Blend all in your blender until creamy. Pour batter into a bowl and let rest for 10 or 15 min’s. It should be thick. “Preheat Waffle maker” to Medium-High (depending on your waffle maker). Spread some Coconut oil on griddle and sprinkle on Sesame seeds, place a healthy amount of batter into the middle of the griddle, then sprinkle Sesame seeds over the top of the batter as well, and close fully to make it spread inside then leave it, (sesame seeds help prevent sticking) and gives a nice nutty flavor to the waffles. Keep away, no peeking! Bake a full 15 mins. Pull free with a rubber tong. Serve immediately or freeze separated in layers of parchment paper placed into a zip lock bag.
