Mandera County Assembly has finally approved County Executive Committee members also known as (CECs) after months of a political standoff between the Economic Freedom Party which enjoys a majority in the county Assembly and the Jubilee Party led by Governor Ali Ibrahim Roba. The ten CECs who were previously rejected by the Assembly sailed through after the governor swapped three CECs positions that were rejected because of a mismatch. The handshake between Ali Roba and his political rival Hassan Noor Hassan of EFP has also played big role in the approval.
