Final Fantasy VII - Dear to the Heart (Harp Arrangement)

You've probably been wondering if stealing items from the baby bird nest and killing the mother bird on Mt. Corel makes you a bad person. Well, I'm here to finally give you some clarity. The answer is yes. If you did that, you are going straight to hell, along with Hojo, President Shinra and whoever is responsible for Carbuncle's design in the remake.

Do you cause Barret to comment on you picking just the ladies? 😏 I'll admit, even though I prefer to boost Cloud's affinity with Tifa, I try to have Aerith in my party whenever possible on Disc 1 because...........well, you know. May as well enjoy her superior magic stats while you still can. 💀

P.S. - I am proud to say that this ENTIRE piece was recorded without my left thumb. For those who don't know, I sprained it a few months ago. It's been feeling better over the past few weeks, but just to be cautious, I decided to come up with a harp arrangement that didn't use my thumb at all and landed on this lovely FF7 piece. Yay!

P.S.S. - I've wanted to do this song for a LONG time and the key changes really stumped me. If there are any harpists reading this who give a crap, I finally realized the trick was to play the Db section in C# instead so that I could transition pedaling into E much more seamlessly. The intro solo part though...I just played that with flats as usual, which is why it was recorded separately. So I'm honestly not sure if this entire song is playable as a solo unless you awkwardly change a gazillion pedals at a very quiet part in the intro. 🤷‍♀️
