Wenbo Zhao, MD, PhD, Xuanwu Hospital, Beijing, China & University of Cambridge, Cambridge, UK, shares findings from a systematic review and meta-analysis on intra-arterial thrombolysis after successful thrombectomy recanalization for acute ischemic stroke. Dr Zhao notes that the meta-analysis found intra-arterial thrombolysis to be significantly associated with a high rate of excellent outcome at 90 days, particularly in patients with extended Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction (eTICI) 2b reperfusion or higher. This interview took place at the UK Stroke Forum (UKSF) 2025 Conference in Aberdeen, UK.
