Sarah Matuja, MD, PhD(c), Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences, Mwanza, Tanzania & University of Leicester, Leicester, UK, discusses her leadership journey in global stroke care, which began with a clinical curiosity about the increasing number of stroke cases in young adults in Tanzania. Dr Matuja shares her experience in establishing a digital inpatient stroke registry and implementing acute stroke services in Tanzania. This interview took place at the UK Stroke Forum (UKSF) 2025 Conference in Aberdeen, UK.
