I’m going to start by recording a simple piano phrase and, from that, I’m going to use a variety of techniques to mine a series of additional sounds from my source piano. I’ll show you how to create sampled loops, how to make rhythmic sequences, how to fashion a new Bass instrument and, alongside all of that, we’ll explore a variety of effects treatments too. Paired with the techniques explored in the original Ear Candy video, this episode should help you build a deeper understanding of how you could use one part of your production to create a series of unique atmospheres and textures.
