Learn How: Mystical Buttercream Black Goat Cake

❤️PLEASE HEAR ME OUT❤️: this cake does not symbolize any sort of demonic baking ... though perhaps it's devilish nature is borne of Devil's Food? If you do study cultural lore from around the world, you will find that black goats have variously symbolized rebellion, balance, feminine power, fertility, and protection.

Even if you’re not likely to fashion a ghoulish Halloween goat cake, the method I devised to create the horns--and the process used to style the wings--are both worth watching, if only on the merit of interesting technique! You won’t be disappointed! ❤️

For this bake, I doctored a box mix as follows:
• One box chocolate cake mix
• 4 eggs
• 2/3 c sour cream
• ⅓ cup vegetable oil
• 1 box chocolate instant pudding
Mix all ingredients, scoop out half-to-two-thirds-cup (to avoid pan blowout) and then pour the remaining mix into the “face” side of the mold … cover with back pan with steam hole, then bind with baker’s twine; bake @350 for 40 min. Begin testing steam hole for doneness with a skewer or toothpick, and continue to bake @ 325 in 3 min increments until your testing stick comes out clean-ish!
