On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provincial government has decided to launch a unique initiative titled “Agriculture Lab on Wheels,” to provide agricultural services directly at the doorsteps of farmers.

Under the programme, mobile agriculture laboratories will be established in 15 districts of Punjab. Through these mobile labs, farmers will be able to obtain on-the-spot soil and water analysis reports, enabling accurate assessment of soil fertility and water quality for improved crop planning and productivity.

A central control room will monitor the operations of the mobile laboratories to ensure efficiency and transparency. In addition, 100 container-based farmer facilitation centres will be set up across all districts of Punjab to further strengthen agricultural extension services.These container farmer centres will be equipped with data call centres, agriculture officers, digital tools and other essential facilities to provide timely guidance and technical support to farmers.

Launched in early 2025, this project aims to transform 150 health centers across Punjab into modern clinics with over 6 million consultations recorded since the program's launch in January 2025.
Outlining key initiatives for the coming year, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that 2026 would bring several major public welfare projects, including the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital, Sargodha Cardiology Institute, and Jinnah Cardiology Centre, among other development initiatives.01-Jan-2026

What is the Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic Program 2025?
The Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic Program is a community-based healthcare initiative designed to establish modern medical clinics across urban and rural Punjab. These clinics aim to provide primary healthcare services at little to no cost, ensuring that financial hardship no longer prevents people from seeking medical attention.

Free medical check-ups for common illnesses
Affordable or free medicines for patients
Maternal and child healthcare facilities
Vaccination and preventive care programs
Subsidized laboratory tests for major diseases
Health awareness sessions on nutrition and hygiene

The Chief Minister Green Tractor Scheme is a Punjab, Pakistan initiative providing subsidized tractors to small/medium farmers to boost agriculture through mechanization, offering significant subsidies (PKR 1 million or 500,000) on locally made models (50-85 HP) via transparent digital balloting, encouraging modern farming and economic empowerment. Farmers apply online through the Punjab Portal or Agriculture Department and must meet landholding criteria (1-50 acres).
The Punjab government has finalized the eligibility criteria for farmers applying under Chief Minister Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Phase-III, aimed at promoting agricultural mechanization.

The dignitaries toured the State Lounge after the completion of renovation work. Defence Secretary Muhammad Ali welcomed the guests and participants at the inauguration ceremony.
