Hello, you awesome Sonic dudes, and welcome
to a brand new rock cover in which today I'll be
head bopping and enjoying the cartoony but
nostalgic rock vibes to the File Select theme from
the video game Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles!

The file select theme was one of the songs that
I found rather cheerfully funky for the SEGA
Genesis back in the day, so I wanted to make this
cover, but also reminisce about what this song
meant to me, since it had made its appearance
in a few Sonic the Hedgehog games. I also wanna
point out that I know not everybody is a fan of
the File Select song from the soundtrack, which
is common for other Sonic fans and gamers who
have different tastes in music. For this cover, I
wanted to mix in both of that rock and synth
vibes while adding in that xylophone for more
of that Tee Lopes-esque to honour him and
bring life to the actual theme. I do feel like the
song deserved some recognition because it's
not just a Classic from the 90s, but it was part
of my childhood and how those songs from the
soundtrack in-game really inspired me, genuinely.
