(Refurbished) FS Thunderbolt 1000BT | Full Alert & Ambiance | Moore, Oklahoma | 12/27/25

At 12:00:06 on Saturday, December 27th, 2025 the City of Moore conducted a weekly test of their Outdoor Warning Sirens which consisted of a 3 minute Alert.

Was going to go to the 450hz Vortex in Yukon but last minute I decided to distant record the southernmost Thunderbolt in Moore. Along the way there I saw this one was back up on the pole after repairs looking fresh. So I decided to stop here and record it. It’s higher pitched now, which is a little disappointing since I always loved the iconic level 4 pitch it had which stood out from the rest of the system. But I’m glad it’s working properly again. I’m suspecting now that it was never actually on level 4 and it was just on 208V before. And now it seems they upped it to 220 or 240. Makes the most sense to me because I don’t see why they’d change the chopper level given that doesn’t have anything to do with hooking the siren up to power
