After catching an 11-hour train from Goa to Mumbai, we finally arrive in India’s biggest city 🇮🇳 — and our day exploring Dharavi, one of the world’s largest slums, completely changed how we see India.
We start off in Mumbai’s Fort district, taking in the city’s colonial architecture and chaotic charm before heading to Dharavi, where we see a side of India that’s rarely shown. Despite its reputation, Dharavi is full of resilience, community and hard work — it’s not what we expected, but it’s something we’ll never forget.
We end the day with some authentic Mumbai Thali, reflecting on one of the most powerful experiences of our travels so far.
