Gregor Robertson, the federal minister of housing and infrastructure, holds a news conference in Toronto to announce a $283 million investment to upgrade the infrastructure in city’s Black Creek sewer system. This upgrade will support the planned construction of up to 63,000 new homes in the Downsview area. Robertson also announces the first housing development project by new federal agency Build Canada Homes, an initiative to deliver 540 new homes at Arbo Downsview in Toronto.
Also speaking are Olivia Chow, the mayor of Toronto, and Ana Bailão, the CEO of Build Canada Homes.
