In this session, we will explore how read-only routing functions in SQL Server.
It covers the roles of primary and secondary replicas in a SQL Server availability group, and explains the network configurations both with and without routing. The presentation details the steps involved in routing read requests to a secondary (read-only) replica, including checking if the target database is in the availability group, verifying the read_only_routing_list on the primary replica, and identifying a healthy, synchronizing read-only replica to handle the read request.
